Description
Moldavite is a translucent silica glass created 20 million years ago by a meteorite shower in the Moldau Valley of Czechoslovakia. In Czech folklore, Moldavite was believed to bring harmony and healing to marital relationships and was used as a betrothal gift for centuries. The rarest of tektites, Moldavite is of bottle-green hue and able to be cut and faceted as a gem. Healing jewelry has been made out of it for thousands of years. Moldavite is purported to be the substance from which the Holy Grail of Arthurian legend was carved (a crystal Emerald that fell from the sky). Just as the divine grail vessel was to set the beholder upon the spiritual road, Moldavite is regarded as an intense catalyst for inner evolution towards one’s highest good.
