Moonstone Meanings
Moonstone is a beautiful translucent gemstone so named because it
reflects the light of the sun, just like the moon. Moonstone is seen
as a reflection of the one who owns it. As a “feeling” stone it is
believed to powerfully calm the emotions, aiding intuition and
empathy and protecting sensitive souls. Some use it to encourage
lucid dreaming, especially around the full moon. Aboriginal groups
believed moonstone to be sacred, growing brighter with the waxing
moon cycle. Holding a piece of moonstone during the full moon was
thought to allow one to see the future. Moonstone has long been
considered a traveler’s stone, protecting against dangers of “road.”
It is also a talisman of good luck, symbolizing health and longevity.
