Green Aventurine Meanings
Aventurine is a variety of microcrystalline quartz containing inclusions of
mica or hematite which give it a sparkling effect known as aventurescence.
Green Aventurine is best known as a stone of opportunity and luck. A
piece of Green Aventurine kept in one’s left pocket is thought to bring
good luck. In fact, Aventurine’s name comes from the Italian phrase “a
ventura” which means “by chance.” Green Aventurine is also thought to
be an all-purpose healer, able to ease trauma, suffering and stress and
increase confidence and creativity. Blue Aventurine is seen as a powerful
mental healer which increases vitality, mental flexibility and encourages a
positive outlook. The majority of green and blue-green aventurine comes
from India (esp. Mysore and Madras) where it is a favourite of artisans.
