Description

Carnelian has a long and storied history, dating back as early as the
Ancient Babylonians and Greeks who wore it as a talisman of luck.
It was once considered strictly the property of noble classes so
Romans engraved it for signet rings and carved it into wax seal rings
(wax does not stick to it). Many Muslims believe wearing Carnelian
brings peace and happiness as Muhammad wore a ring set with a
Carnelian seal. Napoleon also wore a favourite Carnelian seal as a
watch charm. Carnelian is widely known as the happy stone, bringing
humour and calming the temper. It is also thought to help energy
flow to the holder, giving them pep and protection. It is said to help
the insecure find strength so they may “come into their own.”
