Meanings:
Aquamarine, named for the Latin “aqua marina” or “sea water” carries the peace of the sea. The legends that surround it all relate to the water. It is believed to be the stone of sailors, offering them protection from drowning and is said to have its origins in the treasure chest of the mermaids. It is an excellent stone to take on vacations and cruises. Known as the “Serene One,” Aquamarine calms the nerves, enhances clarity of mind and allows communication from a higher plane. It emits a gentle and compassionate energy, helping one become broad-minded and tolerant. It also brings order to one who is overloaded with responsibility. Aquamarine comes from Columbia, Brazil and Pakistan. It is thought to invoke higher states of Consciousness and inspire service to humanity.
