Aventurine is a variety of microcrystalline quartz containing inclusions of
\nmica or hematite which give it a sparkling effect known as aventurescence.
\nGreen Aventurine is best known as a stone of opportunity and luck. A
\npiece of Green Aventurine kept in one\u2019s left pocket is thought to bring
\ngood luck. In fact, Aventurine\u2019s name comes from the Italian phrase \u201ca
\nventura\u201d which means \u201cby chance.\u201d Green Aventurine is also thought to
\nbe an all-purpose healer, able to ease trauma, suffering and stress and
\nincrease confidence and creativity. Blue Aventurine is seen as a powerful
\nmental healer which increases vitality, mental flexibility and encourages a
\npositive outlook. The majority of green and blue-green aventurine comes
