Tanzanite (a rare form of Zoisite), is named for Tanzania, where is
\nwas first found in 1967 in the foothills of Mount Kilimanjaro. Tanzanite
\nis remarkable for its trichroism, appearing alternately blue, violet and
\nburgundy depending on orientation and lighting. Ancient Celtic chiefs
\nused Tanzanite to help define the next tribal leaders. One of the
\nmost famous large, faceted Tanzanites (242 carats \u2013 largest being 738
\ncarats) is the “Queen of Kilimanjaro,” set in a tiara and accented with
\n803 garnets and 913 diamonds. It is on display in the ROM in Toronto,
